Practice Opening Times

Our practice and telephones lines are open from 8.00am until 6.00pm.  


Visiting The Practice

You should only attend the practice when invited for an appointment or to collect something which cannot be posted.  In order to minimise the risk of infection, if you do visit the practice please can you follow our safety guidelines:

  • DO NOT ATTEND if you have any symptoms of the virus
  • wear a face covering over your nose and face
  • use the hand gel provided on entry
  • keep a respectful distance between yourself and others
  • come alone if you do not require assisance


Please phone the practice on 01395 441 212.  Our trained staff will triage your current health status and offer you a telephone consultation with a doctor or a nurse if this is needed.  The doctor or nurse will offer advice over the phone where possible or invite you to attend the surgery if appropriate


Face to Face Appointments

If you are attending for a face to face appointment then please arrive on time for your appointment and not early.  The reason for this is to limit the number of patients in the practice at any one time and to keep it a safe environment.  


Nurse Appointments

Our nurses are offering a “drive through” service for those patients who need their blood taken, an injection or an INR.  To take advantage of this service please advise the receptionist who will take a note of your number plate and the colour of your car.  You will need to phone reception on arrival. 



If you do not require urgent or immediate advice then we ask that you continue to use eConsult which is available through our website or through the NHS app.  eConsult allows patients to submit their symptoms or requests to their own GP practice electronically, and offers around the clock NHS self-help information, signposting to services, and a symptom checker.  The practice will contact you no later than 6.30pm the following working day when you use eConsult unless otherwise stated when submitting your eConsult.  If you struggle to use this service then please ask one our receptionists to help you.



If you require a prescription please use our online requesting service - if you do not have this service then please download the NHS app and set this up from your own home.  Alternatively you can ask our staff set this up for you over the telephone (ID will be required for full access if not using the NHS App).  All prescriptions will be sent electronically to the pharmacy of your choice.    If you do not have internet access please post your prescription in the white letter box to the right of our entrance.
