Dr Alex Helliar

After growing up in East Devon, I studied at the University of Birmingham, graduating with degrees in Medicine and Public Health. I then spent two years completing my Foundation Training in the West Midlands before moving to Australia, where I worked in Emergency Medicine and travelled for a couple of years.

I returned to Exeter to complete my GP training, undertaking rotations in Paediatrics, Psychiatry, and Dermatology. Alongside General Practice, I enjoy working in Urgent Care and Out-of-Hours services.

I love spending time outdoors, and away from work I can usually be found on my bike or enjoying the surf across the South West.
